We sure enjoyed our first winter here, and feel we are off to a great start and meeting great folks in Hailey-Sun valley. Yes, we are pretty proud of ourselves that we actually got outdoors and away from the books/fireplace/and flower designing.  Since all the kids are grown and gone this year we made ourselves try new things..snow-shoeing, tubing and nordic skiing;

spring is here in Sun Valley.  Well, the snow is almost completely melted, and by faith we expect grass will turn green and the wildflowers will bloom!  Meanwhile,  almost all my orders are for spring flowers which exactly what I feel like designing.  I love my job!

The saddest job is to make flowers for the funeral of a sucide victim.  We have seen 2 sucides in the nearly 3 months we have been here.  How I pray over the families as I make arrangements to honor their lives and bring some comfort to the families.  My husband and I were moved to get educated about this growing crisis in Blaine county.   As we wanted to try to be part of the solution.  We joined the Crisis Hotline training and have be humbled by all the decitated people and resources availble for those in crisis.  We are very grateful to have already been part of  stopping 1 more possible sucide.  Thank God! That was one less flowrs arrangement I was happy not to make.  There is always hope, but sometimes, in these stressful times we live in, dear ones, loose sight of that.

We arrived in Hailey Idaho late friday night, and after 3 days of driving a U-haul through snowing snowy roads we are happy to be HOME.  Fresh air, fresh water, fresh rancher beef, and always; fresh SNOW! Loving it so far and unpacking as fast as possible so we can open shop February, already miss my bright little flower friends.  All the pretty Valentines flowers are ordered and just can't wait to get designing.

We're so pleased to get a packet from Google declaring and congratulating us for being a favorite place that people searched for and requested driving directions and other information about us - a real local  florist.

We have a window decal with a special bar code that any customer can scan with their phone cameras, i.e., iphone or Droid to get more information about our flower shop. We worked hard to get recognized, and we thank our customers and those who found us on Google. Our heartfelt thanks to Google for this recognition.  Now that we have established our good name and have enjoyed sucess of repeat customers we will be moving!
